  My father and I went to Spencer Libby and Powell and met with Jim and had an absolutely horrible experience. We were not treated with respect and Jim did not say "Sorry for your loss" or had any positive words. It was all business and all he wanted to know was how we could pay for the atrocious amount of money it takes to cremate a loved one. It is disgusting that this is the only establishment in The Dalles that handles these types of services. You should be ashamed about how you treat people. Also, we were not told on how to obtain her personal belongings, including a family heirloom wedding ring.
  
  This business does not even deserve one star.

  I went to pick up my mother's remains and was handed a cardboard box. I was stunned. I found this hurtful and disturbing. If I had been offered the opportunity to select an urn, it would have been appreciated. Even the Humane Society managed to return my DOG in a modest urn.
